Job Description:
Tectrol currently has a vacancy for a Mechanical design engineer to support
the Physical design of its next generation power systems. The position is
based in Toronto where its corporate design center is located. There is also
a power systems design team based in the USA. The Mechanical design engineer
will work with the power systems design groups to perform the physical
design of the products to tight time and cost deadlines.
Working as part of a group of mechanical design engineers in the design and
development of power systems for industrial applications the engineer is
required to provide solutions to satisfy the customer needs. Requires
ability to work with cross-functional teams on establishing requirements,
developing schedule for meeting commitments.
Required Skills:
The ideal candidate will have a degree in mechanical design or equivalent
with a minimum of 5 years of working as part of a design team for high
volume manufacturing in electronic product development. Good working
knowledge of Pro/E and Flotherm tools. Good knowledge of system level power
distribution for both AC and DC and electronic cooling. Ability to
understand system level schematics. Excellent verbal and written
communication skills. Extremely organized. Project and deadline oriented.
Ability to manage multiple projects with changing requirements and
deadlines. High energy level and enthusiasm for work are necessary in this
very dynamic environment.
