TECTROL products are manufactured at our Toronto headquarters and at two plants operated by TECTROL manufacturing alliance partners in China. Products are manufactured in China for customers that require delivery to China or other parts of Asia and for volume production of products for shipment to North America and Europe.
All plants that manufacture TECTROL products utilize a high degree of assembly and test automation with well documented processes, providing consistent high-quality products with predictable lead times and availability.
Product quality is demonstrated by consistently high Customer acceptance levels, long life in the field and very low annualized return rates. TECTROL offers flexible manufacturing options and will accommodate various delivery scenarios from ship to order to demand pull from local stocking hubs or consigned inventory at the customer factory.
Toronto Manufacturing
TECTROL's ISO 9001-2000 registered manufacturing facility in Toronto features:
- Continuous flow and cell-based production lines, which provide a flexible manufacturing environment for both high volume and high mix products.
- Multiple printed circuit board assembly lines with integrated placement machines.
- Magnetics Production, which provides the capability to produce transformers and coils.
- Integrated SMT and automated thru-hole mixed technology capability (topside, bottom side and fine pitch).
- Dual wave flow solder machines: ultrasonic spray flux, convection preheat and nitrogen inerted.
- 16 fully integrated, flexible, high mix Final Integration & Test (FIT) cells.
- Full in-house support for in-circuit & Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) functional testing.
China Manufacturing
TECTROL has alliances with two manufacturing partners in China. Both alliance partners are certified to ISO 9001-2000 and ISO 14000 standards and have over 10 years experience producing a wide range of power products.
Low to high volume manufacturing capabilities are available ranging from a few thousand to several hundred thousand power supplies per year. Both partners possess expertise in power supply production and have an experienced team of engineering and manufacturing staff, materials management and component procurement staff.
